Zoom Whitening

Zoom Whitening
If you're self-conscious about your smile due to teeth discoloration, Zoom Whitening could boost your confidence and make you appear younger. But before diving in, it's crucial to find out if this treatment is suitable for you.
Here's all you need to know about Zoom Whitening:
What is Zoom Whitening?
Zoom Whitening is a bleaching method designed to whiten both dentin and enamel discoloration. Whether it's from smoking, consuming certain foods and drinks, or aging, this procedure effectively lightens stains and brown spots without altering the tooth structure.
Using the Zoom Advanced Power Chairside Lamp and hydrogen peroxide, the procedure accelerates bleaching by allowing oxygen to penetrate the teeth, removing stains while leaving the tooth structure unchanged.

How does Zoom Whitening Work?
This non-invasive procedure breaks down hydrogen peroxide in the whitening gel using the Zoom lamp light, allowing oxygen to enter the tooth enamel and dentin. It's painless, with minimal discomfort such as slight sensitivity or tingling, usually lasting no more than 24 hours. The entire process typically takes 45 to 60 minutes.
Step 1: Examination and Teeth Cleaning
Before the Zoom whitening process, your dentist examines and cleans your teeth to remove plaque and food particles, ensuring optimal whitening results.
Step 2: Retractor Placement and Preventive Measures
A retractor is placed in your mouth to cover gums and lips, exposing only the teeth. This prevents chemical damage to lips and ensures comfort during the procedure. Additionally, gum coating and protective glasses are applied for safety.
Step 3: Zoom!
The whitening procedure consists of three sessions, each lasting around 15 minutes. After applying the whitening gel, the Zoom light activates the hydrogen peroxide gel, breaking down stains and discoloration.
